TA: if Real Madrid continues to boycott the new rules of La Liga media, it will face 13 million euro losses.

Live broadcast bar, August 17 according to The Athletic News, 19 Spanish clubs accepted new media regulations on The opening week weekend of La Liga, but Real Madrid refused to implement these new regulations, may face a loss of 13 million euros.

This season, La Liga has launched a new broadcast plan, by allowing the club to open more camera areas and install more cameras and microphones beside dressing rooms, tunnels and benches, as well as arranging additional interviews with players and staff before and after the match, and increasing the funds that broadcasters will pay for the copyright of the match in the future.

Although not all clubs, coaches and players are happy with these, almost everyone participates in them, except Real Madrid. Before, during and after the first round of matches, their players or coaches did not fulfill their usual media responsibilities.

It is understood that in the 2023-24 season, a large part of the total broadcasting revenue of La Liga will be allocated according to the additional cost of participating in these new “voluntary” Broadcasting. If Real Madrid does not change its strategy, they will lose about 13 million euros in bonus.
